A match on action shot is when a person is recorded doing an action from 2 different angles but it takes 2 different cuts to record so the action looks like one continous movement rather than seperate ones. For Example someone opening a door from one side (One cut) and then recording the same person walking in from the other side (The second cut) and these edited and put together making it look like one continous flow of movement. The better its edited then the smoother it will look.
In this video as the girl opens the door to the car the view changes so the camera is inside the car but it all runs smoothly as if it was one short movement. This emphasises the action and gives it more depth. Opening a door would be a pretty boring action but the match on action makes it much more intresting.
